I’m sure you realise that you can meet God anywhere! – he is omnipresent like that! But if you have particular questions, want to meet other people who are trying to get to know God in a messy sort of way these places might help.
Eden’s Project in Sudbury
A great place, with very friendly people. It seems to be entirely populated by under 30s, and is designed with teenagers in mind. It has videos, pool, games, bars, food and a garden. A great place to chill at weekends. See their website for more info. (Oh & I help out there sometimes.)
Suffolk Road Church
Not much of a website I know, but then that isn’t really the most important thing to look for in a Church. It always feels like a really safe place to be, it’s fun and seems to be full most of the time. Being full is a goods sign I think! A great place to get to know people, it feels like a big-ish family. They seem to be open almost every night and there is a minibus to pick you up! They have a great youth club on Friday nights! Fantastic place to worship & learn about God.
Sizewell Hall
What can I say. In Suffolk, by the sea… as close to heaven as I’ve ever been! Learn about it here.
Summer Madness
A fantastic camp for young people, one week in August, fantstic food(!), inspirational speakers, great friends, massive fun, an incredible God. Taste the fun. See the video.
Bury Christian Youth
Something fun, fab and full of life for young people to do in Bury St Edmunds. They are involved in schools and put on a variety out of school events. Nice simple website.
